TooCon: Pop Culture Festival – Saturday 2 September
The Toowoomba Library precinct will again play host to a festival of comics, cosplay, anime, movies, manga and demonstrations. There will be free entry at this all ages festival, RSVP on Facebook.
City Heart Fashion Event – Saturday 9 September
Toowoomba’s hottest fashion show is back for another year. The City Heart Fashion Event is on Saturday 9 September at 6pm at the Armitage Centre. It will showcase the best of local boutiques and retailers and feature band Interim, headlined by Home and Away dude Alec Snow. Tickets are on sale from the Empire Theatre from $70.
Spring Polo – Saturday 23 September
Once again the VIP tickets for this event sold out super quick but you can still pick your best outfit and go with tickets in the Canopy Lounge available for $75.00. RSVP on Facebook.
Joey and Freddy lunch – Friday 29 September
Brad Fittler and Andrew Johns are celebrated rugby league players and they’re coming to town. Treat yourself to a two-course lunch, drinks and spend time with these men of league. From 11.30am to 3.30pm at Blank Space, tickets are $150.
Pint and Plate for Pat – Sunday 1 October
The annual race day held in memorium for Pat O’Shea is set to be a big one this year, again raising funds for St Andrew’s Hospital. Tickets are $85 each and you’ll find this year’s event coincides with the NRL Grand Final and the Queens Birthday long weekend, so it’s sure to be festive. Arj Barker – Friday 20 October

Summer Dessert Party – Saturday 4 November
Start banking those burpees, we’re getting a festival dedicated to all things sweet and decadent. The Original Mix and Jo & Co Espresso are bringing a dessert smorgasboard with cupcakes, donuts, brownies, ice cream, loaded shakes and more. Cully Fest – Friday 17 – Sunday 19 November

Brews & Barbie Bash – Saturday 25 November
Those geniuses at The Original Mix have been busy brainstorming foodie events and have designed this one to please all kinds. For one day at the Toowoomba Show Grounds it’s a food, drink and music festival featuring produce from local providores and beers and wines from local outlets. It’s all about the BBQ – and as part of this bash there’ll be a BBQ Battle where teams of four will put their best barbie chefs forward for the chance to win $3000 in prize money.
