Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers – Friday 21 to Sunday 30 September
It’s the main event when it comes to Toowoomba events! Our highlights for this year include:
- The Night Garden illuminated experience in Queens Park (Wednesday 26 to Sunday 30 September)
- MasterChef winner and Twitter master Adam Liaw serving up some cooking demos at the Food & Wine Festival (Friday 21 to Sunday 23 September)
- Progressive food tours hosted by Kristen from Dine Darling Downs (Friday 28 and Saturday 29 September)
- The Living End, Augie March, Cloud Control and Ali Barter at the Food & Wine Festival (Friday 21 to Sunday 23 September).
Pint and Plate for Pat – Sunday 23 September
The annual race day held in memorium for Pat O’Shea is on again to raise funds for St Andrew’s Hospital. Check out the event news on Facebook.
Mad Hatter Spring Carnival Cup Day – Sunday 23 September
Book Monday off work because in conjunction with the Pint and Plate event this Mad Hatter Spring Carnival Cup Day is on too. It’ll included some novelty events like yabby races and miniature trots. Get your details on Facebook.
Spring Polo – Saturday 29 September
Once again the VIP tickets for this event sold out super quick but you can still grab Canopy Lounge tickets for $80 online and $95.00 at the gate. Sydney Comedy Festival Showcase – Saturday 29 September
Always good for a giggle, go out and see the best of Australian and international comedy talent at the Empire Theatre. Tickets are $38.00.
Unleash the Beast Writing and Wellbeing Symposium – Wednesday 10 October
A first of its kind for Toowoomba, this is a writing event celebrating creativity and shining a light on mental health. Held to support Lifeline Darling Downs it’ll be part writers festival, part market, part symposium. From 7am to 6.30pm speakers such as Ray Martin, Mia Freedman, Peter FitzSimons, Tick Everett, Jacinta Tynan and Samantha Heathwood will be holding court and creating conversations about mental health.
There are some side events happening too, including a cooking class at The Sauce Kitchen with Emma Ellice-Flint and a Mort and Co Lads’ Lunch at Fitzy’s with Peter FitzSimons and Samantha Heathwood.

Murphy’s Creek Chilli Festival – Sunday 14 October
Some like it hot! Everything chilli is here – including jams, sauces, pastes, seeds, chilli challenges and of course Seatonfire Chilli Chocolate. Check out the Facebook event for the details.
Toowoomba Expo, Spring Home Show and Outdoor Leisure Expo – Friday 19 to Sunday 21 October

Dîner en Blanc – Saturday 20 October
This French picnic with the all-white dress code will make its Toowoomba debut on Saturday 20 October. At this pop-up event you bring your food, table, chairs and dress all in white and then party the night away under the stars. Toowoomba Night of Horrors – Saturday 27 October
Get into the Halloween spirit with this spooky event at the Toowoomba Showgrounds. Get all freaked out in a maze, enjoy a ride or just grab a snack. Follow the fun on Facebook.
Brews & Barbie Bash – Saturday 27 October
Beer yoga, BBQ competitions, pop-up restaurant from Warwick’s Bluebird Kitchen live music and of course BBQ food and beer. Check it all out and get your tickets online.
Betoota Advocate Roadshow – Tuesday 6 November
From the creators of headlines such as “Australia Enjoys Another Peaceful Day Under Oppressive Gun Control Laws” and “Nation Somehow Stunned 35-Year-Old Man Is Retiring From Rugby League” are bringing the funny to Toowoomba with a live show. Tickets range from $67 to $107 or you can splash your cash on a $180 meet and greet experience. Get your tickets at The Empire Theatre.
Kryptonite Toowoomba – Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 November

An Evening with Johnathan Thurston – Sunday 11 November
