The newest business in town is dedicated to giving us a sneak peek behind the Instagram curtain.
Event Ko, sister business to Komm, by Erin Kehoe-O’Shea and husband James O’Shea, will launch its Influencer Series this June.
Erin says the series aims to give Toowoomba locals unprecedented access to the new breed of influencers who have mastered the art of gathering a loyal army of social media followers and fans.
“Our events will feature a selection of celebrity, food, mum, fitness, comedy, and beauty Influencers who have a considerable influence on the lives of their millions of followers both on and offline,” Erin said.
The first kicks off (that’s a football pun just FYI) with Kayla Boyd, wife to Brisbane Broncos captain Darius Boyd. She’s a social sensation with a lifestyle and fashion blog Adored by Kayla Boyd that has over 34,000 followers across Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram. She’s also a Brisbane Racing Ambassador, Pilates instructor in training, social ambassador, and presenter.
“I’m really excited to secure Kayla Boyd as our first guest speaker,” Erin said. “Join us on June 1 as we hold an in-depth question and answer session with Kayla as she discusses balancing a busy schedule of motherhood while growing her online brand.
“Kayla will also be sharing how she deals with haters, what inspires her and plans for the future.”
The event will be MC’ed by prominent local Kathryn Doyle who was previously a news reader and journalist with WIN Television Toowoomba.
Guests will have the opportunity to submit a question for Kayla to answer during the evening, and you might even be able to snag a selfie with Kayla.
Erin says she expects to hold the Influencer Series every quarter and will be running a series of other inspiring events throughout the year. Event Ko is run by Erin, James, and her mother Maria. They’re available to help you plan your event, so check them out on Facebook.
Your $69 ticket to the Kayla Boyd influencer session includes champagne and canapés on arrival and a portion of funds raised from the event will be donated to Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association of Queensland Inc.
