Enjoy the best of what our local region has to offer this winter at the Hampton Festival’s Winter Harvest and Long Lunch on July 9 and 10.
Hosted by popular Queensland chefs Matt Golinski and Glen Barratt, diners will enjoy a three course banquet prepared by Matt and Glen and gain a grassroots insight into local farm processes.
Matt Golinski said he was looking forward to showcasing the region’s quality produce.
“When it comes to using fresh local produce, Queensland chefs are spoilt for choice.
“Both Glen and myself are passionate about sourcing our ingredients direct from producers, and value the relationships which develop between ourselves and the people who grow our food.”
“The Hampton area produces a great quality and diversity of seasonal produce and we can’t wait to showcase that with our long lunch menu.”
Hampton Winter Harvest organiser, Wendy Allen, advised that more tickets to the event have been made available after last year’s autumn event sold out in a day.
“We were blown away last year by how quickly those tickets sold out so this year we will hold two lunches to make the experience available to more people.
“It’s fantastic that the regional community is so passionate about our local food movement.”
The Hampton Winter Harvest Long Lunch will be held on the 9 and 10 July, with a lunch event taking place on each of the days.
Guests will enjoy a three-course banquet with wine matching and also partake in a farm tour and producer talks.
Tickets are available for purchase via the Hampton Festival website for $150 per person.
