They’ve been showing some tantalising behind-the-scenes shots on social media and now the wait is over: Charred – Cafe, Bar & Grill will open tomorrow Monday, 23 July at 6.30am.
An official opening for the cafe will follow on Saturday 28 July.
Owners David and Susanne Wood and co-owner and head chef Nicolas Wood said Charred enjoys a prime location at the top of the range in the old Weis spot. The café is separate from the soon-to-open restaurant where diners will discover quality share meals with a contemporary Australian flair.
“Our café will be a bright and comforting place to grab great coffee or linger for a delicious hot breakfast in our garden setting. We’re offering a succinct menu incorporating traditional favourites and enticing newcomers, not to mention the house-made goodies from our savouries and cake cabinet.
“We’re excited about all the interest we’re already getting and the Charred café is only the start of our objective to provide something really enjoyable and also affordable to Toowoombaites. A beautiful location was important to us, so that patrons have a destination to look forward to. Once the restaurant opens, we will welcome guests to gather for a shared meal with family or friends, and there will be wholesome options for all tastes.”
Even though dinner service is still a couple of weeks away from opening, Charred can already accept group bookings of up to 20 people.
You can visit the website www.charredtoowoomba.com.au and sign up to the newsletter, or like Charred on Facebook at www.facebook.com/toowoombarestaurant to keep up-to-date with the restaurant progress and other events. Menus and a booking portal will be available on the website also.
