Santa and a bunch of his mates will be arriving at Grand Central on Saturday 21 November to kick off a range of festive activities and fun.
Santa and friends arrive Saturday 21 November
The guy in the red suit will show up in style with a Grand Arrival Parade at 10am. Santa and his friends, including the Grinch, Hoot and Hootabelle, Disney princesses Cinderella, Snow White and Belle, along with the Snow Queen and Prince Charming will make their way through the Centre – finishing at Santa’s throne in Centre Court.
The fun will continue throughout the day, with face painting and balloon animals available, along with activities with Santa’s friends.
There will be plenty of roving entertainment for the kids to enjoy from 11am-1pm, with Santa’s friends roaming the Centre for photos and fun. The first 100 children to meet the princesses will get a free doughnut from Donut King. There will even be Story Time with the Grinch at 11am!
Photos will be available with Santa Claus from 11am this Saturday, and will continue daily until Christmas Eve. Every child photographed with Santa will receive a free gift.
Christmas activities
From Saturday, November 21 until Christmas Eve, Grand Central will be filled with interactive zones where children can write letters to Santa, take part in drawing, bauble making and Christmas decoration workshops, and meet some of the Centre’s roving entertainers.
There’ll be two-hour workshops held every week until Christmas where kids can participate in a range of activities, including drawing Santa’s Helpers’ magical machines, constructing baubles, making wreaths, stars, angels and Christmas trees to take home, and exploring patterns and prints to create unique wrapping paper.
From December 21, roving entertainers including the Acro Elves, Peppers Pep Band and the Jingle Bellies will also be spreading Christmas joy with acrobatics, dancing and singing.
Customers should keep a look out for one of Grand Central’s Christmas Cheer Ambassadors, who will be roaming the Centre to help with any queries, greet shoppers, provide directions and spread Christmas cheer.
