Inject a little fun, frill, and personality into your wardrobe with Evoke Clothing.
Located in Toowoomba’s newest fashion hub, the Australia Arcade, Evoke Clothing is all about providing unique, affordable and on trend pieces.
Owner Hayley Hoefler established Evoke last year at only 23 years of age after doing a fashion, design and technology course. She said whether it’s for a party, special occasion, or every day style, she loves to help women find items they might not have considered.
“In Latin evoke means to ‘awaken the senses’ so that’s the experience I want people to have when they come in,” she says. “I love helping customers style their outfits, especially if they haven’t considered trying different things before.”
Featuring labels like Sundays the Label, Runaway the Label, Lioness, and Madison Square Clothing, Hayley says she aims to keep the style in the store a mixed bag to appeal to a variety of people, and offers an average price point of around $70 to $80.
“Where you see lace and frill that’s all me because I love lace and frill,” she says. “However I also love structure, and classic silhouettes like fitted blazers or flowy pants. I try and keep the stock versatile for all ages.”
This winter, Hayley’s top tip for your wardrobe is to work with a neutral palette and add colours like camel, mustard and burgundy.
“I am big on trans-seasonal pieces, so this winter I’d suggest layering a light top with winter pieces like a scarf or jacket to make the most of your wardrobe.”
At just over a year in business Evoke Clothing has built up a loyal following, and Hayley has big plans to continue the growth of the store. This year for the first time her she’ll be showcasing formal, after five, racewear and casual labels in the City Heart Fashion Event and it’s her plan in the future to extend her online store to ship internationally.
She’s also sitting on an already designed clothing line that she would love to manufacture and have in the store and wholesale out in the future.
Evoke Clothing is currently participating in The Chronicle’s Town Proud promotion and this week will launch a winter clearance sale that will run through until the end of the month.
To shop with Evoke visit Hayley in the Australia Arcade – she’s there every weekday until five and Saturday mornings. Like most of the Australia Arcade stores Hayley stays open a little later on Thursday evenings, usually until 6pm, so you can head down after work for your fashion fix.
