Comedian Dave Hughes is coming to Toowoomba to play a special show on 2 June, and as of today tickets are now on sale!
The performance is part of Sunrise Way’s biggest fundraising event of the year. Sunrise Way is a not-for-profit drug and alcohol rehabilitation program helping people in regional Queensland.
Sunrise Way CEO Wendy Agar said she encourages the community to get behind what will be a great night.
“I’m thrilled ‘Hughesy’ will be lending some star power to the evening,” she said. “Everyone I’ve spoken to is so excited he’s coming!”
Ms Agar said people attending the dinner would learn a little more about the important role Sunrise Way plays within our community.
“There will also be raffle items to win, auction items to bid for, and entertainment provided by popular local band The Solitary Men.”
Ms Agar said Sunrise Way is committed to helping individuals living with addiction to develop skills and strategies to maintain sobriety.
“We provide an essential service to the community and are not fully funded, so fundraising activities like this dinner event are an important part of our activities. It’s these initiatives that enable us to help people from our region who have been living with addiction to rebuild their lives.”
The Sunrise Way fundraiser will be held on Saturday June 2 at Rumours International. Tickets are $120 and can be purchased through toowoombatickets.com.au.
