Eggstra Big Easter Egg Hunt and Charity Family Market Fun Day – Sunday 1 April
On Easter Sunday the Margaret Street Markets and the Queens Park Markets are joining forces to host an eggstra big day. There will be 3000 eggs to be found and a host of stallholders including The Owl Tree, Green Dandelion, Gluten Free Donuts and Old Style Russian Fudge and Coconut Ice. Weetwood – Saturday 7 April
Toowoomba’s biggest race day is here. This year sees the debut of the Clive Berghofer Grande Atrium – an Audi Centre Toowoomba Dining package inside the atrium is $225 per person and includes a two-course meal and five hour beverage package. There are other entry packages on offer too. Also appearing at this year’s Weetwood is Apollo from Sophie Monk’s Bachie season. He’ll be judging fashions on the field. Alice in Wonderland Family Fun Day – Saturday 7 April
The Toowoomba Library precinct will transform into wonderland for one day with this family friendly themed event. There will be a mad hatter millinery station and potions class (bookings required for these two, email young.people@tr.qld.gov.au), markets, a white rabbit scavenger hunt and indoor flamingo croquet. First Coat: School holiday soft toy workshop – Wednesday 11 April
Kids and adults can learn how to make their own soft toy with local maker and creative Rhi Johnson. It’s $45 for the two-hour session and includes all the materials you’ll need. Hosted at the First Coat studios.
Toowoomba Royal Show – Thursday 12 to Saturday 14 April

Go Left Gala – Saturday 14 April
An event to raise awareness for suicide prevention and mental health, the Go Left Gala will raise funds for charity LIVIN. Blank Space is the venue, and your ticket will get you a three course meal, beer, wine and spirits, plus a raffle ticket. Tickets are $165 and sales close 10 April. Find out more on Facebook.
Bites and Beats – Saturday 14 April
The Original Mix is hosting a special twilight shopping event and street food market. There will be 50 boutique market stalls, and fun stuff including a jumping castle, face painting, lawn games, arts and crafts and live music. It’s $2 entry for adults and kids are free. The Games on Bell’s – Saturday 14 April
Get into the Commonwealth Games spirit with this community event in the Bell Street Mall. The Comms Games will be on a big screen all day and you’ll be able to join in some yoga, hula hooping, boxing, basketball and more. Find out all the info on the Council website or via the Facebook event.
Jazz & Shiraz – Sunday 15 April

Barks & Brews at Fitzy’s – Sunday 15 April

Toowoomba Colour Walk/Run – Sunday 15 April

Blue Illusion Winter Styling Workshop – Thursday 19 April
Head along to Blue Illusion at 12.30pm on Thursday 19 April and enjoy a styling workshop. After the workshop there’ll be time for personal styling. They’re donating 7% of the day’s proceeds to the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research and Wellness Initiative. They’re also selling a hot pink coat, with 7% of those sales going to the initiative too – anytime, not just on the day. Man Date Festival – Saturday 21 April
The festival celebrating all things manly is back for a third year. The Man Date Festival will kick off at 10am and run until 8pm at the Mills Precinct. Take a Hike Toowoomba – Sunday 22 April
This annual event raises funds for the AEIOU Foundation’s early intervention program for children with autism aged two to six years. The events include a 5km, 10.5km and 21km distance. The event starts at Queens Park. You can wear blue and pink to show your support for the AEIOU. It’s an event for the whole family – and there will be a BBQ at the finish line. Rotaract Drought Relief Gala Dinner – Saturday 28 April

The annual Pink Fig Mother’s Day Markets is back for a new year of unique, home made goods, great eats and family fun on Sunday 29 April from 12 to 5pm. Held on the spacious grounds at Darling Downs Christian School, the market offers outdoor eating areas for local gourmet food vans as well as up to 50 boutique stall holders inside their giant white marquee tent.
