Bush Christmas – Thursday 30 November and Saturday 9 December
Bush Christmas is back for its 21st year. The exhibition offers a unique platform for regional artists, providores and creatives to showcase their talents and reach new audiences. It’s at the Masonic Hall from 9am to 6pm daily.
Toowoomba’s Christmas Wonderland – Saturday 2 December to Sunday 24 December
It’s not Christmas without a visit to the Christmas Wonderland. It’s in the Queens Park Botanic Gardens every night from 7pm to 10pm. Gold coin donation to enter, in addition to 125 Christmas light displays there’s entertainment and fun stuff for kids too. Visit christmaswonderland.com.au for more info.
Mayoral Carols by Candlelight – Sunday 10 December
The annual Triple M Mayoral Carols by Candlelight is on again.
It starts at 4pm with food and rides for the kids, plus Christmas markets. Carols kick off at 6.30pm and there will be fireworks at 8.15pm. Find it all in lower Queens Park. RSVP to the event on Facebook.
Grand Central Christmas Markets – Thursday 7 December
Rescheduled from Thursday 30 November due to wet weather, the markets have a new date but the same location – Central Square at Grand Central, from 4pm to 9pm. Hosted by The Original Mix – find all the details on the Facebook event.
Evening of Festive Fun – Walton Stores – Thursday 7 December
Also rescheduled thanks to the rain, Walton Stores are hosting a fun evening with lawn games, face painting, bungy trampolines, dance performances, live music and some special Disney guests. It all starts at 4pm, check out the details on Facebook.
Christmas in the CBD – Thursday 7 December
That rain really did a number on our fun. The third event to move from 30 November to 7 December is the Toowoomba Regional Council’s Christmas in the CBD. There will be heaps to do from 5pm in both the City Hall and Bell Street Mall areas. The main event is Santa’s arrival at 6.58pm at City Hall and the lighting of the Hall by the Mayor. Champagne & Shopping – The Wild Haven Collective – Thursday 7 December
A premium shopping night from The Wild Haven Collective. Wrap up that Christmas shopping with a champagne and chocolate in hand. There will be complimentary gift wrapping too so you don’t have to wrestle with that curling ribbon. It starts at 3pm and will run until 9pm. RSVP on Facebook.
Festive Twilight Markets – Saturday 9 December

Toowoomba Christmas Lights Tour – various dates from Friday 8 – Friday 22 December
Australian Anti Ice Campaign has partnered up with Stonestreet Coaches to offer this Christmas Lights Bus Tour – a magical journey around the streets of Toowoomba in a luxury coach. The tour has five available dates to choose from. This fundraising event will help ‘Put The Freeze On Ice’ and raise much needed funds for the Darling Downs Region.
