Wonders of the Volcano – Tuesday 21 July
Who could resist the pairing of volcanos and National Lamington Day?
If a National Lamington Day wasn’t enough, two Toowoomba sisters have chosen the day to launch their new creative enterprise – products that celebrate their volcanic home of Toowoomba.
Held at the Sauce Kitchen on Tuesday 21 July at 5.30pm, the sisters will launch their locally designed and handmade range of linen tea towels, featuring volcanic style artwork. So what’s the Lamington link? The Wonders of Volcano team believe the lamington has its origins here in Toowoomba, when the chef to Lord Lamington, Governor of Queensland created the delicious cakes at the governor’s country residence in Toowoomba.
