Blacksmithing and jewellery making workshops – Thursday 9-Friday 10 July
The Cobb and Co’s school holiday program continues with hands-on workshops aimed at teenagers. Each workshop will allow teens to create something beautiful to keep from raw materials. Cost is $75 per workshop, bookings are essential – see the website for details.
Emu Gully Air and Land Show – Saturday 11-Sunday 12 July
Educational and interactive the Emu Gully Air and Land Show will commemorate the battles of
World War I, with reenactments, tours and demonstrations. Tickets at the gate are $20 for adults for one day, $30 for a weekend pass. Visit the website to purchase slightly cheaper tickets online.
Rock a Buy Boutique Markets – Sunday 12 July
It’s definitely market season! The Rock a Buy Boutique Markets are the latest markets to hit Toowoomba and offer homewares, fashion, food, live music, and jumping castles. On from 9am to 1pm this Sunday at The Salo Centre, St Ursula’s College.

French Festival – Friday 10-Sunday 12 July
Bonjour France! Brisbane goes French for three days this week with fashion shows, markets, masterclasses, a cabaret and live entertainment. And cheese. Lots of cheese. Head down to the South Bank cultural forecourt if you’re keen. Entry is $5 to the festival, you will need to purchase tickets for some specific events.
Good Food Month – Thursday 9 July-Sunday 9 August
There’s so much to do and see during Good Food month that there’s a 25 page program detailing events and locations available to download. On Saturday alone you’ll be able to Dine Under the Stars at Eagle St Pier with a five course menu from ARIA, Bavarian Bier Café, il Centro, Pony and Sake or attend a Food Writing 101 workshop at the Sofitel.
