Dine Down Town – Friday 3 March
The Original Mix presents a new street food market for Toowoomba. Destined to become a regular monthly event in the St Luke’s grounds Dine Down Town features 15 food and beverage vendors. $2 entry per person. No EFTPOS – bring your cash money and your hungry tummies.
Flickerfest at the Empire Theatre – Friday 3 and Saturday 4 March
Some of the best short films getting about will be on this weekend. Pull up a patch of Empire Theatre lawn and enjoy an onsite bar and food trucks. Tickets are $15.
Gigs at The Spotted Cow – Thursday March 2 to Thursday 9 March
The Cow is getting March off to an awesome start, hosting Katy Steel on 2 March, Frenzal Rhomb on 3 March and Busby Marou on 9 March. You’ve never had so much fun.
Theatre: As You Like It – Thursday 9 to Saturday 18 March
Featuring USQ drama’s third year students and guest director Kate Murphy this Shakespeare classic has been reimagined. Come see all the fun at various performance times at USQ Arts Theatre. $25 tickets for adults.
Embrace – Thursday 16 March
Taryn Brumfitt herself will be at these two screenings of body image doco Embrace. Tickets are $25 per person, go at 10am or 6pm, it’s on at Rumours International.
Zombie Walk – Saturday 25 March
Get a-shufflin, the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation Zombie Walk is back for 2017. The walk starts at St Saviour’s Primary School at 5pm – activities at the school before and after, including laser skirmish and a zombie maze. It’s $10 adults and $5 for children under 12 (kids under five free) and $20 per family (up to six).
Toowoomba Hospice Masquerade Ball – Saturday 25 March
Time to dress up and get a little mysterious for a good cause at the Toowoomba Hospice Masquerade Ball on Saturday 25 March from 6.30pm at Picnic Point. Your $150 ticket gets you a four hour drinks package, entertainment, two course meal, raffles and live auction. Tables of 10 are also available. Get your tickets here.
Felton Food Festival – Sunday 26 March
The little festival that could is back again, showcasing our region’s produce and makers. Stonestreets is running $5 return buses from Kearneys Spring (near Kmart – the car park at Ruthven and Spring Streets). 9:30am and 11am departures from Toowoomba and 1pm and 3pm return. An Evening of Enchantment – Friday 31 March
