NRL Grand Final at Walton Stores – Sunday 2 October
Cheer on the Storm in the 2016 NRL Grand Final live from Toowoomba’s newest fave hangout, the Walton Stores.

Bridget Jones’s Baby – Fundraiser screening – Wednesday 5 October
Grab your girlfriends and head to the flicks while helping to raise money for the Lifeline children’s counselling rooms. Tickets are $24, includes the movie, goodies and a lucky door prize. Light the Night – Friday 7 October

Toowoomba Spring Home Show – Friday 7 to Sunday 9 October
This expo for everything outdoors and lifestyle is on at the Toowoomba Showgrounds. It will feature House Rules dudes Luke and Cody, entertainment and free kids’ rides. Open Friday and Saturday 9am to 5pm and Sunday 9am to 4pm. Adult entry $10, seniors $8 and kids are free. Go to the Facebook page for all the info.

Travelling Film Festival – Friday 7 to Sunday 9 October

Oktoberfest – Saturday 15 October
The Brewoomba crew are at it again – get into your lederhosen and prepare for bratwurst, because Oktoberfest is coming at you. The Spotted Cow, Mort Estate and Tapestry Bar are hosting Oktoberfest at all three venues. Your ticket includes a shuttle bus between the pubs and your first stein at each venue. Murphy’s Creek Chilli Festival – Sunday 16 October
If food only tastes good to you if it lights your tastebuds on fire the Murphy’s Creek Chilli Festival is for you. Vendors include Seatonfire Chilli Chocolate and UB’s Farm. Grand Central Grazia Style Sessions – Saturday 15 – 16 October and Saturday 29 – Sunday 30 October
The ‘Grand Central Presents Grazia Style Sessions’ will be four days of stylish fun, tips and tricks.
Your ticket to style is $20 per workshop (plus $3.50 booking fee). Places are limited to just 50 per workshop so get in quick. All attendees get a $25 Grand Central gift card and a goodie bag on the day.

Theatre: Tequila Mockingbird – Wednesday 19 October
After a woman is attacked in a remote Australian town a racist underbelly rears its head when the community targets a young Indian doctor. Nominated for six 2014 Matilda Awards and winning Best Mainstage Production this play examines the darker side of Australian culture that lurks just below the surface. Blush After Dark at Walton Stores – Saturday 22 October

Dining in the Dark – Saturday 29 October
A sensory challenge, great night out and the chance to raise funds for Guide Dogs Queensland. Dining in the Dark challenges guests to eat their meal blindfolded, providing just a small insight into what life is like for someone who is blind or vision impaired.

Rebound Race – Sunday 30 October
Jumping castles aren’t just for kids! Join the Rebound Race – the world’s largest inflatable obstacle course. There’s a 15m high, 85m long slide involved in this so you should probably get your tickets now.
The course is 5km with 12 inflatable obstacles. Ticket prices vary, see the Facebook event for more details.
Toowoomba Designer Wardrobe Rummage – Sunday 30 October
Bring an item to donate and then see what else you can find in the wardrobes of the city’s style lovers at the Toowoomba Designer Wardrobe Rummage.
